When I am angry

I was REALLY angry at someone recently when I realized the following...

I know I should not, but I sometimes harbour a feeling of anger.

Often, in fact mostly, it is towards those I love most.

For, as You know, only those I love can hurt me.

As You and I both know, this will happen again and again.

In future, when such a feeling enters my mind

and threatens to take over my heart

I ask this of the universe.

Please send a blessing to the loved one who is prey to my anger.

Send this blessing to that person to the 10^th degree of my anger.

Help me to remember this when I am angry.

Help me to remember that when I let the ants of anger crawl under my skin

I am the only one to suffer.

Help me to remember and to laugh at my own stupidity

Help me to laugh at the realization that

I have sooooo much more to grow

And the realization that Your love surrounds all.
